WHAT'S NEW

Real Wooden Handles

I make my Sgian Dubh handles using local woods such as Oak, Walnut and Yew as well as exotic woods such as Ebony, African Blackwood and Rosewood.
Culloden bog oak is also available, but in limited supply.
I generally give the wood an oiled and lightly waxed finish to produce a traditional, more natural look and feel.

Real Stone Pommels

A variety of real Scottish stones are available for the top of the Sgian Dubh, however as I get these made to order this can affect the waiting time.

Ferrules

The metal fittings at the top and base of the handle and which can hold the stone pommel can be supplied in Sterling Silver, Titanium, Gold or Brass. These can also be engraved.

Available in Silver, Titanium, Damascus, Stainless & Carbon Steel.

Custom Made & Hand Finished

Each one of my Sgian Dubhs is individually made then carefully hand finished and assigned a unique number.
Over a number of years I have developed specialized methods, techniques and equipment and where appropriate have taken full advantage of modern technology, even electricity and computers !
So although these can't be said to be 100% handmade from start to finish, I am able to offer you exceptional quality and custom features at a price level that you can still afford.

Serial Numbers

Each one of my Sgian Dubhs has its own character and is assigned a unique reference number beginning 'SG' which is written in its presentation box and can be engraved upon the blade on request.
